Wilson’s disease: an easier diagnostic

Wilson’s disease comes from a copper overload in the liver. It causes very different symptoms and there are no rapid and specific detection methods and is therefore difficult to diagnose. But researchers have changed things around and have used fluorescence X-ray spectrometry on rat and human liver samples to quantify the metal in question.
