The US National Association for Biomedical Research has filed a complaint with the US Department of Transport

The NABR Association has filed a complaint for discrimination with the US Department of Transportation against four airlines.

The NABR, the National Association for Biomedical Research, accuses four airlines operating in the US of discrimination by refusing to transport animals intended for scientific research while they transport the same animals when they are destined to zoos, farms or individuals.

A formal complaint was filed on August 21, 2018 with the US Department of Transportation. It calls to British Airways, China Southern, Qatar Airways and United Airlines to abide to federal law and put an end to this discrimination.

NABR explains in this complaint that the refusal to transport animals for research slows down the only biomedical research capable of saving lives by the discovery of drugs and therapies to prevent or cure the many deadly and disabling diseases that affect not only people but also many animals wherever they live.

Articles in the British press have presented this information.

We will keep our readers informed of any follow-up that will be given to this complaint.
