Rehoming laboratory animals

The English version of the guide for the rehoming of Laboratory Animals is published.

_____________________________________

The GIRCOR has just published the English version of its guide for the rehoming of laboratory animals.

This publication will help disseminate more widely in Europe and worldwide the experience gained in France on the conditions, methods and good practices for the rehoming of laboratory animals.

Indeed, collaborations between research and associations such as the GRAAL and White-Rabbit have enabled French research, supported and encouraged by the GIRCOR, to rehome more and more laboratory animals.

This eventuallity, put forwards by European regulations, is still not widespread outside France because it presents difficulties that have been largely solved in our country.

The purpose of this publication is to provide the means to rehome, in the long term, all animals that meet the necessary conditions.
