Pain-killing bacteria ?

The Faecalibacterium prausnitzii bacteria are abundant in the intestines of healthy people but decrease with the onset of inflammatory bowel syndrome. A team of researchers have identified the analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties of these bacteria using animal model for stress.
