A new treatment against Alzheimer’s disease ?

Researchers at the University of Ottawa have discovered in mice that blocking the mGluR5 glutamate receptor thanks to the drug CTEP can improve memory and reduce the devastating impact of Alzheimer’s disease which gradually kills off the neurones in the brain. This is a great breakthrough that scientist must now validate in humans.
