A new path, a new hope for the treatment of melanoma

Melanoma is a skin cancer that quickly becomes resistant to treatments.

Researchers are trying to develop a new type of drug: nanoparticles loaded with several drugs. The cancerous cells would thus have far fewer opportunities to become resistant to treatment.

The combination of two agents (an anti-inflammatory agent and a toxin) loaded into nanoparticles in specific proportions, has been found to be effective in both in vitro models and in vivo (mouse) models of human melanoma. Other tests will be carried out before knowing if this innovative treatment can be tested in patients. Its name: CelePlum-777
