Human-animal chimeras, the key to better health ?

The New scientist recently published a humorous piece on the search for new solutions to replace our ageing bodies. It scans the possibilities that humans have for grafts, pointing out the poverty of organ banks, the low quality of tissues, and, especially, the unreasonable daily cost of hospitalisation. According to the conclusions of the article, it is time to boost the research on the growth of human organs in the body of animals. But faced with unending ethical debates on these chimeras, financing was brutally halted.
