Cure Paralysis ?

For the first time, researchers have managed to give control over their members back to monkeys paralyzed because of a spinal cord injury. This is possible thanks to a neuroprosthetic interface that creates a wireless bridge between the brain and the portion of the spinal cord located after the injury. A clinical study with patients with such injuries has started in Lausanne. However, years will have to pass before some patients can walk again.

This incredible breakthrough is the result of years of research and development as well as an international collaboration led by Switzerland. The Swiss lead researcher explains that his research on monkeys was conducted in China, where the regulations are more lenient than in Europe or the USA
