Colour to fight jetlag

Our biological clock allows us to adjust our sleep patterns and cyclical behaviours. Researchers have recently shown that these circadian rhythms are not only influenced by the quantity of light that we perceive but also by the quality: its colour. The brain activity of mice is more sensitive to change in colour between the blues and the yellows than changes in brightness. Colour can be used to influence our internal clock which can be very useful for those who work at night or experience jetlag.
