Aspirin and cancer prevention

Acetylsalicylic acid, also known as aspirin, could reduce the risk of cancer in animals. How? This drug inhibits the production of prostaglandin E2 – a lipid involved in tumour survival and in the development of blood vessel that irrigate them. Currently, several trials in humans are under way in the world.
